Research interests

My research interests focus on the agency of clients, citizens, and local communities both in the context of public welfare service system and as a partner that supports and challenges its operation. I have examined the questions related the topic particularly from the point of view of rural areas and rural local communities. As a frame of reference for my research has served social sustainability. I understandit as a state where various dimensions of sustainable development are combined with human activity. In the field of social work, my research topic is located in the traditions of community work and structural social work.
