Miten muistot syntyvät ja tallentuvat aivoihin? Miten oppiminen on kytköksissä kehon toimintaan? Nykytiedon valossa ajatellaan, että oppimisen perusta on joustavuus aivojen solujen viestinnässä ja että muistot tallentuvat aivoissa hajautettuihin hermoverkkoihin. Aivojen toiminta on tiiviisti kytköksissä kehoon ja esimerkiksi autonomisen hermoston aktivaatioon.
