Research interests
I received my PhD from the University of Jyväskylä in 2015. The PhD study focused on changes to the practice of using support persons in the statutory municipally-organised child welfare by paying particular attention to the genesis of the practice in Finland in the 1970s and its current state in the 2000s and the 2010.
My current research areas include e.g. social work history, social work with young adults, research ethics in child protection research, youth and intercultural mentoring, and peer support and voluntary work in social work.
