Research interests

My research explores digital therapy - in particular, psychotherapy. I am interested in such forms of care whose implementation is very much dependent on the generation of intimacy, such as experiences of trust, proximity, confidentiality and security. My research combines insights from feminist posthumanisms, science and technology studies, affect theory and psychosocial studies. In particular, it traces the ways in which intimacy is being made of and with multiple entangled materialities.

My previous research has examined e.g. relationship and sex counselling, intergenerational touching cultures, and social movements.
