General description
I am an Associate Professor of Sociology, working in the intersection of culture and economy. My research interests include economic elites, cultural analysis of capital, consultocracy, contemporary cultural formations as well as university autonomy in the postdemocratic age.
At the moment I lead three research projects, titled 'Cultures of Private Capital in 21st Century Finland', 'Keeping New Money on Board: The New Nordic Wealth Elites and the Future of the Welfare Model' and ''Democracy in universities: the crisis of representative democracy in university self-governance'.
I received my PhD from Goldsmiths College in 2011 and worked for a long time at Tampere University before moving to University of Jyväskylä.
