Merja Karjalainen

I am Merja Karjalainen PhD, Director of the Open University of the University of Jyväskylä until 31 December 2024. I have had the opportunity to do a wide range of teaching, research, administrative and management tasks at the University of Jyväskylä for several years. My research has focused especially on cooperation between working life and open higher education and the development of guidance. I have also studied workplace guidance as part of competence development.
