General description
I am an adjunct professor of general history in the University of Jyväskylä, Department of History and Ethnology. In recent years I have carried out several research projects on variety of themes, such as parliamentary history, conceptual history, defence-related attitudes as well as the role and functioning of the United Nations. I have focused especially on foreign and defence policy decision-making in British, Finnish and Swedish contexts.

Research interests
Tutkimukseni on tärkeää, sillä se auttaa ihmisiä käsittämään, miksi elämme nykyisin integroituneessa Euroopassa ja miksi parlamentaarinen demokratia on keskeinen tarkastelukulma niin yhteiskunnan historialle kuin sen jatkokehitykselle. Tutkimukseni on tärkeä yhteiskunnasta kiinnostuneille.
