General description
I am a senior lecturer in the independent institute of the Centre for Multilingual Academic Communication (Movi) at the University of Jyväskylä. I am responsible for the teaching of English to students in many different fields at the university, currently mostly students from the faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences as well as Education and Psychology. I also teach courses for university staff. My current project work includes involvement in the development of internationalisation, which also includes multilingual competences, for students and staff. I am also the coordinator for Academic Readiness Screening (ACRES), which I also developed with a colleague. The coordination of ACRES is part of work connected to the admissions process at the master's level for some International Degree Programmes (IMDPs).
