General description

I work as a professor at the Department of Education, in the area of education and adult education. My research and teaching expertise is focused on family research. My most recent research topics include parenting and coparenting, transition to parenthood, work-family interaction, parental working time and children's wellbeing. I have led several research projects funded by the Academy of Finland, most recently "Learning to coparent (CopaGloba) and Families 24/7. I am also very interested in applying family research knowledge to practice, especially in the field of parental education. Of various research methods, my expertize is mostly focused on diary methods, recently called also as Ecological Momentary Assessment.
