Light is ubiquitous in nature. Its a source of energy but also an important signaling factor. I clarify how proteins function with light. I investigate how light is transformed to biological signaling or energy in the primary reactions of photosynthesis. With this information new type of signaling systems in the field of biotechnology could be designed.
