Tutkimuskuvaus
I study fundamentally new ways to control the flow of heat, by using its wave nature, and applications that follow from those principles. Examples are the development of novel X-ray materials analysis instruments, and conversion of thermal waste energy into electricity. I stress that fundamental research is necessary for the future of all of humankind.
