Research interests

My research is mainly in the field of applied linguistics. I do research on learning of pronunciation and oral skills, automatic assessment of oral proficiency, gamebased second language learning, bilingualism (especially regarding oral skills), phonetics (e.g. dialectal variation in Swedish), and contact linguistics.

The results of my research can be used to improve second language learning through, for example, better learning materials and technological applications. My research contributes also to knowledge and understanding of language phenomena and language change.
