General description

I am studying genomic bases of stress tolerance using insects as model species.

Research interests

Stress tolerance is one of the key traits affecting species' survival and distribution but we still lack understanding on how organisms cope with varying environmental conditions at the molecular level. Our results will shed light on the genomics underlying stress tolerance but also reveal possible role of different mechanism as drivers of rapid adaption to changing environments. These questions are especially timely under the current unforeseen rapid climate change.
