Research interests
My research concentrates on the effects of exercise on muscle energy metabolism especially in subjets with compromised metabolism like obesity, metabolic syndrome and diabetes. A specific current research topic is the relation between branched-chain aminoacid catabolism and fat oxidation. I also contribute to studies clarifying the effects of exercise on cognition and neurogenesis.
