General description
Research fields: inverse problems in partial differential equations and geometry, with applications in medical and seismic imaging.
Active JYU affiliations
- Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Professor
Research interests
Inverse problems research focuses on the mathematical theory and practical implementation of indirect measurements. Several imaging methods, such as X-ray and ultrasound imaging, employ this type of mathematics. Our research group is part of the multidisciplinary Finnish Centre of Excellence in Inverse Modelling and Imaging and is supported by an ERC Consolidator Grant.
