Research interests

Max Weber re-thinks ”objectivity” with the parliamentary procedure as a model for fair debate pro et contra. My conceptual and historical studies of parliamentary politics analyse the value and uses of fair procedures for presenting and debating opposed points of view for politicians and scholars.

I have an international scholarly profile with publications in German and English on four interrelated research problematics: 1) The concept of politics and its history; 2) Parliamentary studies, especially conceptual, procedural and rhetorical aspects. 3) Political Thought and Methodology of Max Weber; 4) Principles and practices of conceptual history
My favourite own book is "Objektivität" als faires Spiel. Wissenschaft als Politik bei Max Weber (2010).

Currently I am studying a new topic: Parliamentarism and supranationality in the European integration
