Research interests

In my PhD project I examine dialogic argumentation in lower secondary physics education. I am especially interested in how students’ argumentation skills are improved as a result of specifically designed activities and teacher professional development. Another line of inquiry in my PhD work is how the use of argumentation as a teaching strategy affects the students’ learning of the content knowledge of physics.
