Research interests

I am enthusiastic about better understanding of human attention allocation and inattention in various real-life dynamic tasks, such as driving, sports and music.

My research results are used for developing less distracting user interfaces and for training people to learn appropriate attention allocation strategies. For instance, my models of drivers' visual sampling on road help to find user interface, driving scenario, as well as individual factors affecting driver inattention in traffic. The results can be utilized for developing driving assistance, distraction warning systems and safer in-car user interfaces for the driver.
