Chronic pain is widespread and is hard to treat, affecting much of the population. My project assesses vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) for chronic pain relief. VAT is tactile low-frequency sound vibration for physical/psychological wellbeing. Controlled studies are lacking in this area; this research fills that gap.
