Research interests
My research interests lie in the field of second-language speech: pronunciation learning and teaching, speech intelligibility, comprehensibility and foreign accent. After my doctoral dissertation on English pronunciation teaching in Finland (2013), my research has focussed on teaching experiments, and the perception of English spoken by Finns. In addition to research work, I teach spoken communication, workplace communication, pronunciation pedagogy and research skills to future language teachers and multidisciplinary language specialists.
