Research interests
My PhD Research is about the history of city planning in Nordic Cities from 1960 to the current year of 2020. Since my background is in linguistics on the discipline of English, I am particularly interested about discourses related to city planning, zoning, exclusion and inclusion of people, and the ideals of how a city should be and how the ideals are realized in practice.
The research falls is in economic history and will utilize the methods of economic history as well as those of linguistics. Particularly I will utilize the knowledge of corpus linguistics gained from my master's thesis on the topic, and understanding of media discourses stemming from work as a research assistant in journalism studies.
