Research interests

My research project focuses on the position, roles, agency and lived experience of clergymen’s wives and widows in the parish communities of the early modern Swedish kingdom, especially Eastern Finland. I use court records, petitions and funeral biographies as main source material. My research interests include the history of the family, gender history, lived religion, history of emotions, and history of experience.
