General description
Currently, I am working as a researcher in the Centre of Excellence in Research on Ageing and Care (CoE AgeCare, 2018–2025) and as a project researcher at the University of Jyväskylä, the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy. Additionally, I am a member of the Research Group on Care Policy (CARPO).
In October 2017, I completed my Master's in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien). During my studies at WU, I won a NEURUS program grant that allowed me to research the senior home care industry in the U.S. as a visiting scholar at Arizona State University in 2017. My Master's thesis research was on the driving factors of business expansion through franchising for the U.S.-based senior home care companies, https://permalink.obvsg.at/wuw/AC15031076
I investigated aging and women empowerment issues in India at the end of 2017 – the first half of 2018. I participated in several conferences at Indian Universities and colleges and visited Old Age homes and integrated houses in different regions of India. These visits and communication with different NGOs and locals enhanced my understanding of aging issues and brought me some ideas that benefit disadvantaged children and single seniors.
I have more than 10 years of experience in corporate finance as a business appraiser in Moscow, Russia, and my first Master's degree is in Finance. My previous corporate background allowed me to apply my skills in project management, financial and statistical modeling, intercultural competence, and understanding of regional cultural specifics in research.
