Research interests
I study how environmental change affects aquatic ecosystems. I am especially interested in plankton, because these tiny plants and animals form the basis of the whole food web. In my ongoing project, I am using resting eggs of water fleas collected in lake sediments to study how browning has changed the biogeochemistry (flows of elements) in small lakes.
