General description

I am a doctoral researcher at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy of the University of Jyväskylä. My dissertation investigates how body and trauma consciousness can strengthen political agency inside today's global social justice movements. Interdisciplinary research areas covered in my dissertation include feminist political theory, critical phenomenology and somatic trauma research.

Before starting my PhD studies, I co-wrote a popular science book on body consciousness (Jussila & Ohraniemi 2021) and worked in social justice movements in Finland and abroad.
