Summary
“Extending New Narratives in the History of Philosophy,” aims to reconfigure and enrich the philosophical canon by developing new narratives of our philosophical past that centrally include women thinkers. The primary objectives of this partnership include (1) facilitating research collaborations amongst a developing international network of scholars, students and academic institutions, that will aid in developing these new narratives; (2) continuing to build research tools and to develop and shape curricular resources to enrich the teaching of the history of philosophy along the lines of these new narratives; (3) training a new generation of scholars to develop new lines of inquiry on non-canonical figures; and (4) increasing awareness amongst the general public about long neglected aspects of our intellectual heritage.
