Summary
The objective of this project is to address these gaps in understanding the current situation, using the most up to
date approaches to skill intelligence, and to develop a suite of tools that can be readily applied across member
states. Methodologies adopted will include the use of administrative data, big data, quantitative and qualitative
assessments, and the testing and validation of any new skills foresight tools developed during the course of the
project. As such the project will substantially extend the understanding of the incidence, drivers and consequences
of skill deficiencies (skill shortages and / or skill gaps) well beyond current levels.
