Summary

This is the 20th International Symposium organized by the Neuromuscular Research Center of the Faculty of Sport and health Sciences. This one is a special one, since it also celebrates the scientific career of the late professor Paavo Komi. The main topics of the symposium are hte motor control of human movement, sport performance and injury prevention. The aim of the symposium is that the participants learn about the basic paradigms of biomechanics as well as how biomechanics can be utilized in solving some of the problems coming from the practice. As always, the speakers of the symposium will be some of the leading scientists. This symposium has a great relevance to everybody who is studying or working in sports related area.
