Summary
Goal of the project is development and process design of an adsorbent-coated extended heat transfer surface (henceforth intensified sorbent) for capturing carbon dioxide directly from air. The essential role of direct air capture (DAC) is to be shown in high temporal and geo-spatial detail for a fully sustainable energy system and highly competitive carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technology. Furthermore, the aim of the life cycle assessment analysis (LCA) is to quantify the environmental impacts of the developed process by considering its climate change impacts, abiotic resource depletion impact.
