Summary

This project aims at expanding the successful MIT model to serve as a basis for a new model of mentors’ training in Israel. In the new model we will use teachers’ peer group mentoring (PGM) techniques (e.g Pennanen et. al 2018) which involves teachers sharing and reflecting on their experiences, discussing problems and challenges that they meet in their work, listening, encouraging one another, and, above all, learning together and from each other (Heikkinen et al., 2012). Therefore the main goal of the project is to improve the quality of teacher training in Israel through an efficient and sustainable mentoring system based on best EU practices.
