Summary

Erasmus+ KA107 programme coordinated nationally by Finnish Board of Education (OPH) supports student and staff mobility between Erasmus+ programme and partner countries. In the proposed project JYU applies funding for student and staff mobility with its key partner universities in nine countries outside EU:
Bar Ilan University, Israel
Universidad de Montevideo, Uruguay
NRU Higher School of Economics, Russia
St. Mary’s University, Canada
University of Education Winneba, Ghana
Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya
University of Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina
Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgia
Albanian University, Albania
The mobility is based on subject-specific inter-institutional exchange agreements, which may also include several fields. JYU supports particularly outgoing mobility to the global mobility partner universities also with its own funding. Within this project, funding is applied for with 9 partner universities. In addition to mobility grants, E+ KA107 programme gives small support (€ 350 per mobility) also for organizing mobilities. Applying for KA107 funding with selected, good partner universities outside Europe is in accordance with the Erasmus Policy Statement of our university. This project will enable us to carry out students and staff mobility with important partner universities in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Canada, Ghana, Israel, Kenya, Russia, Uruguay, Albania and Georgia.
So far the funding has been applied for annually, even though the project period is two years (1.8.2020 – 31.7.2022). As far as we know, this is the last KA107 call within the current Erasmus+ programme period. The funding is highly competed in Finland for most of the partner countries and we are expected to get much less funding that we apply for.
