Summary

Software development is one the most important areas of business in Finland and globally. However, one obstruction to solid software development is technostress, which refers to the situation of stress that an individual experiences due to her or his use of technology. Researchers and medical professionals have highlighted that technostress is common in knowledge-intensive work and contributes to severe outcomes such as reduced work productivity, decreased well-being, and even burnout. We will conduct a set of studies by collecting data about software developers' technostress experiences. Understanding software developers’ technostress can pave the way for improved work productivity, quality, and well-being, all contributing to business success.
