Summary
This project studies the roles of news media performed in COVID-19 crisis communication and how these roles influenced the media’s treatment of different and marginalized voices involved in the pandemic. Furthermore, the project aims to assess citizens’ perceptions of COVID-19 related information, including their trust in the crisis narratives. The project is bench-marked with similar projects in four other countries, thus offering a global perspective on Finnish news media performance.
