Summary

In our proposal, we will test whether the ultra-small pH changes can be detected in molecular time-scales (milliseconds) by utilizing the Ion Torret sequencing device together with photo-switchable proteins, phytochromes. Phytochromes are photo-sensor proteins, which undergo structural and chemical changes in a micro and millisecond time-scales.
