Summary
The project estimates the size of the spawning stocks of landlocked Atlantic salmon and lake-migrating brown trout in the rapids of Heinävesi watercourse and the River Läsänkoski. The structure of spawning redds is measured and egg samples are taken from redds to identify the species, salmon or trout, in dna analysis in the gene laboratory of University of Helsinki.
