Summary

Understanding the mechanism of how molecules react in chemical catalysis and enzymatic reaction is critical to designing novel (bio)chemical processes. The proposed research aims to explore and reveal in detail the underpinning role of nanoscale cavities (aka "nanoreactors") and ionic species in catalytic mechanism by using mass spectrometry and computer modelling.
