Summary

As a school subject, mother tongue and literature offers much for the school education, but at the same time, demands a lot of competencies from the teacher. The aims of Hermolle program are next: enhancing the pedagogical competences of teachers, content knowledge, ICT-competences, competences in assessment and language-sensitive education. Hermolle program aims also changing the action culture in schools in order to model activities and diversify learning tools and environments. Hermolle program is based on the idea of blended learning: learning by doing, class interventions, and enhancing the professionalism by peer support and feedback practices. There is composed learning communities during Hermolle education, which will work independently and get support by educators in e-environments.
