Summary

The food chain has a significant role in the implementation of sustainable development and creating circular economy in all key indicators. Developing the circular economy system also requires a total optimization of food systems. The project will develop the food supply chain teaching package in the context of circular economy. It also creates visibility and content for circular economy education. The project provides a network of food chain development training and the new digital food chain study module. The project further enhances the expertise of students, businesses, teachers, project workers and decision-makers. It also emphasizes importance of circular economy in the food sector and in society in general. The project is being implemented by University of Vaasa, Savonia University of Applied Sciences, University of Jyväskylä, Karelia University of Applied Sciences and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.
