Abstract
The chapter is a comparative research of EMI instruction in two educational and cultural settings. It examines EMI practices in the Anglophone and non-Anglophone contexts through surveying EMI teachers' perceptions of the issues related to content and language pedagogy. Through comparing these perceptions, the chapter reveals different understanding of the EMI concept as well as different implementation of the instructional practices in the two contexts, which stems from cultural, educational, and social distinctions. The participants of the research were 129 university content lecturers from the UK and EMI teachers from Ukraine. The survey contained nine questions that elicited the respondents' views on the relevance of the skills the students have to obtain and the tasks that the students are required to do while taking up the EMI course.
