Abstract

The study investigated the addressing of digital violence against women in police work, criminal procedures, and support services. Utilizing police crime reports, focus group interviews with prosecutors and support service personnel, and online surveys from digital violence victims/survivors, the research aimed to comprehensively explore the challenges and opportunities in this context.

The evolution of communication technologies has significantly altered the landscape of violence against women, introducing diverse forms of harassment, threats, and control. The consequences of digital violence often impose severe and traumatizing damage on victims/survivors, constraining their autonomy, restricting participation, and narrowing their living environment.

Insufficient recognition and understanding, combined with societal normalization of digital violence in everyday life, demand educational development and heightened awareness. Addressing this issue requires investment in and research on interdisciplinary collaboration, conceptual refinement, standardized documentation practices, and improved regional service accessibility. Emphasis on digital media platform accountability is crucial.
