Abstract
close to the district heating network. When planning small nuclear power plants to be sited in cities, the views
of residents are important. Many of the those who responded to our resident survey and are in favour of smallscale nuclear power would nevertheless not accept a small nuclear power plant near their home. Even the provision of information on safety does not necessarily increase the acceptance of small nuclear power plants.
We look at the factors that may influence residents’ attitudes towards the construction of small nuclear power
plants in their municipality.
