Abstract
Although I represent and teach my own culture and language, I have realized that it is essential to advance my knowledge in Korean culture, education and language as well. During the past years, I needed to shape and improve my methodology based on my knowledge of the students’ learning habits and strategies that are rooted in their cultural background. Additionally, I had to examine and understand their goals and possibilities as well to make my classes more useful.
In this short study, I summarize some of the methodological changes and ideas that I invented in order to develop an efficient and useful teaching plan and an interesting syllabus that support Korean students in second language acquisition.
