Abstract

Five electron-deficient aromatic compounds bearing 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl moieties were investigated by X-ray diffraction. In the crystals, the stacking of π systems between non-planar electron-deficient aromatics leads to an assembly with weak F···π and/or F···F interactions as the controlling factor.
