Kommunal förordningen som utfärdades år 1865 åtskilde kyrkan och staten, då kommunerna fick en edgen förvaltningsorganisation. Kommittén som utfärdade förordningar på de kommunala mötena behövde en sigillstamp för att bestryka dokumenten. Denna artikel behadlar två kommunalsigill från Mellersta Finland, båda med ett "bibliskt" visuellt tema, som härstammar från deras ursprung i den kyrkliga sockenadministrationen. De två sigillen hittas i finansiella obligationer utfärdade år 1890 för sjukvården i Jyväskylä. Under årtiondenas lopp har dessa sigill fallit i glömska och deras teman har inte levt vidare i landsbygdskommunernast kommunvapen, som skapades efter krigen. Kommunsigill har även för forskarna hamnat i en död vinkel. Skribenten föreslår att dessa borde kartläggas och undersökas som en helhet.

Abstract

The Rural Government Act of 1865 established the separation of church and state, thus creating and administrative structure with parishes and municipalities in parallel. The decrees of the municipal meeting were implemented by required the municipal committee, which requires a seal matrix for the authentication of its documents. This article concerns two municipal seals from Central Finland with a "Biblical" visual theme inherited from their roots in parochial administration. The two seals are found on financial obligations issued in 1890 for the purposes of health care provided in Jyväskylä. Over the course of time these seals were forgotten, and their themes did not carry over to the rural municipalities' coats of arms, commissioned after the Second World War. Municipal seals have remained a blind spot for researchers as well. The writer proposes they be mapped and researched in their entirety.
