Abstract

Distinguishing from the traditional model, IAH offers an alternative approach of promoting internationalisation at regional medical universities, many of which face some difficulties, such as economic underdevelopment, less international mobility, during their internationalisation process. This paper introduces the origin and development of IAH in Europe and borrows from their practices – taking IAH in Finland as an example. Based on the characteristics of regional medical universities in China, we explore the path of IAH across different levels.
