Description of the dataset
Description: Interview material consists of European game writers' and narrative designers' (N=10) expert interviews. Semi-structured interviews were used as a data collection method. The data collection started on the October 21, 2023 and finished June 11, 2024. The interview material deals with questions, e.g., what is the difference between game writing and narrative design, how companies use game writing and narrative design in game design and development processes, how game writing and narrative design are used when implementing narrative elements in the game, what software companies use for game writing and narrative design, and what forms the game writing and narrative design take in game development.
