Description of the dataset
Description: The experiment aims to probe the onset of the intruder region in neutron-deficient Pb isotopes by studying low-lying states of 190-Pb, such as the 2+, 4+, 6+ and 2+_2, through mean lifetime measurements. The APPA plunger device combined with 15 tapered germanium detectors will enable the recoil-distance Doppler-shift measurements for 190-Pb utilising the 108-Pd(86-Kr, 4n)190-Pb fusion-evaporation reaction with a beam energy 378 MeV. The experiment will provide valuable information about the collectivity of the nucleus, complementing the analysis of the in-beam spectroscopy experiment (S24). It also allows for deducing the B(E2) values for the low-lying states and further constraints to Coulomb excitation analysis.
