Description of the dataset

DescriptionThe study, Lynch Syndrome, lifestyle habits and biomarkers, investigates lifestyle habits (physical activity and nutrition) and blood-based biomarkers to understand their associations with cancer risk. The study includes several data types, e.g., self-reported questionnaires and blood samples with further biomarker analysis.

High-throughput sequencing has been done to assess cell-free non-coding RNAs. Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy has been applied to assess circulating metabolomics. Data collection including questionnaires, blood samples and blood sample analytics continues to allow the construction of prospective cancer risk prediction models. Clinical data on cancer status is obtained through Finnish Lynch Syndrome Registry.
