Summary

This research explores multilingual text work in the platform economy. The focus of study are the freelancers who market their expertise for writing and text work in a digital labor platform called UpWork. UpWork is the worlds' largest purely virtual labor platform, and in this study a focus especially on multilingual freelancers living in Finland. I explore how they market and develop their text and discoursive skills and navigate their employability in the platform economy.
