Tiivistelmä
HyPER project is dedicated to establishing a hydrogen production and storage testing rig in Central Finland. It focuses on advanced electrolysis technology and innovative hydrogen storage solutions. It encompasses three primary actions: optimizing the Anion Exchange Membrane Electrolyser (AEMEL) for renewable energy patterns, developing digital infrastructure and techno-economic models for hydrogen production, and exploring solid material-based hydrogen storage through adsorption. By prioritizing AEMEL, modelling, and novel storage materials, this project aims to address critical challenges in hydrogen production, storage, and utilization. The project is a springboard for the Central Finland Region to be active players in Finland’s H2 Economy Targets. HyPER brings new knowledge and expertise which could support the industrial renewal targets of the region. The Hyper project will be implemented as a joint project with VTT and JyU.
